Short description

To mark the 250th anniversary of the birth of the painter Caspar David Friedrich, KIDS interactive developed an extraordinary augmented reality app that makes it possible to experience the life and work of the world-famous painter from Greifswald in a new and exciting way with the help of state-of-the-art augmented reality technology. The heart of the "CaspAR" app is the interactive staging of the 15 stations of the existing Caspar David Friedrich picture trail in Greifswald's city center.

Description

Augmented reality technology allows the famous painter to appear as an impressive video hologram at the picture trail stations on a smartphone or tablet display - as well as his wife Caroline, who has lots of interesting facts to tell about Friedrich's life and work in Greifswald. In this way, visitors learn fascinating details, stories and anecdotes from the life and work of Caspar David Friedrich. The captivating storytelling and integrated gamification elements make the picture trail tour an extraordinary experience. CaspAR" also has a few interactive surprises in store. These include a unique visit to the artist's virtual 3D studio and the opportunity to digitally slip into one of his most famous Greifswald paintings.
