The ‘Responsive Touch Beetle’ is the first TALE object to be developed in co-operation with the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin. The 20-fold enlarged model made of hygienic CORIAN® reacts to touch thanks to sensor technology.
These are precisely localised and gestures are differentiated. Seven areas have been defined and linked to insights recorded as audio files. This means that users can always call up precise audio feedback on the area that interests them. If the user leaves the area to which the audio track belongs, the audio becomes quieter so that even people with impaired vision know which information belongs to which area of the beetle. The audio files can be easily exchanged and customised via a content management system, depending on the target group. Securely packed in a flight case, the responsive touch beetle can be used at various locations with a power connection.
