Vita

Since 2005, she has been head of the Cooperations department at the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum and is responsible for the acquisition of third-party funding. She also coordinates strategic cross-cutting issues at the DHMD, such as the development of a sustainability strategy. She studied European Ethnology and Cultural Studies in Marburg, Birmingham and Berlin. After a two-year traineeship, she worked for six years as a research assistant in the exhibitions department of the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum

Lecture series on sustainability and climate protection in museums with practical tips and best-practice examples

In her keynote speech, Ms. Sina-Herrmann - Project Manager Climate Protection and Sustainability from the German Museums Association - will give practical tips on implementing sustainability and climate protection measures in a cultural institution and talk about the potential and challenges of ecological trade in museums. The Deutsches Hygiene Museum Dresden will then present its measures for active climate protection and show where opportunities and difficulties lie. At the same time, concepts for adapting museum operations to climate change and the associated challenges posed by heat, heavy rainfall and flooding will be presented. The head of the exhibitions department at the Jewish Museum Berlin then reports on the starting points for the sustainable development and realisation of exhibitions
